White Bluff Homeowners,

The current fire danger in White Bluff is extremely high. Fire danger is rated on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest fire danger rating. The Corps of Engineers land that borders our community on the south side has been rated a 10 by the Federal Government. Areas inside White Bluff are covered by juniper, brush, and tall grass much the same as the COE land to the south.

With the current drought, high temperatures, and high winds, each of us should take steps to (1) make our properties more fire safe, and (2) prepare in case of a wildfire.

The White Bluff Volunteer Fire Department will host a free community meeting in the White Bluff Conference Center on Saturday, September 10th from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM to provide information on how to make your properties more fire safe and prepare in case of a fire. They will distribute literature including “My Personal Wildland Fire Action Guide” as well as discuss how to create defensible space and fire-resistant landscaping to better protect your home in case of a wildfire.

Please join us for this important community meeting. Let’s make White Bluff more fire safe to protect our families, homes, and this great community.

Best regards,

Jim Fletcher, President
White Bluff Board of Directors
